DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY LEADERs in Dementia Care organizations are those organizations with staff who have completed a minimum of eight hours of dementia training each year.  We encourage you to investigate every organization and facility on your own prior to entrusting yourself or your loved one to their care.

By listing these organizations/agencies here, it does not imply endorsement by Dementia-Friendly Communities NoCo, however, the willingness to invest into education to increase competence and job satisfaction of the staff  (and decrease turnover rates) DOES indicate the priority of leadership in the organizations you are considering to hire for their privilege in working with you and/or your loved ones.

Our goal is to encourage raising the standard of dementia care in senior care facilities and agencies throughout Northern Colorado.  To that end, we, in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association and other agencies, are providing staff from these organizations 2-3 hour educational sessions (total 8 hours/year) three times a year at no charge to the organizations or individuals so that organizations in Northern Colorado can more readily earn "Dementia-Friendly Leader" designations.   Call Cyndy 970-213-4548 or Katie 970-472-9798 for more details.
